IMPLEMENTATION OF CLIL AT TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY FOCUSING ON CLIL TEACHER PROFILE

The submitted paper deals with the issue of CLIL implementation at Technical University in Zvolen, Slovakia, specifically teacher profile and preparedness university teachers to apply into their teaching practice. topic was selected due ever-increasing importance English everyday communication for professional, academic, scientific purposes. nature research is qualitative; therefore, SWOT analysis used analyzing current state implementation. study conducted using a sample 15 disciplinary subjects via structured interview. interviews were subsequently analyzed, considering three aspects profile: professional background expertise, methodological preparedness, language preparedness. Individual strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats implementing established analysis. results indicated general lack teachers. On other hand, all interviewed eager improve specific areas teach methodology since they acknowledged knowledge. Nevertheless, students' insufficient level could be threat methodology, which eventually discourage them from attending lectures seminars where elements are applied.
